Ch. Campillot 2011 (Medoc, Bordeaux)

Quick Overview

Château Campillot is a small estate of 9 hectares situated in the south of the Médoc appellation. Since 2005 it has been managed by two friends, Tristan Roze Des Ordons and Jean-Dominique Videau who is also in charge of winemaking at the Saint- Julien Grand Cru Classe property, Château Branaire-Ducru, well-known for the quality and consistency of its wines. Château Campillot has been accepted into the Cru Bourgeois ranks for the vintage 2012, more proof of the high quality of this wine.  48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot & 2% Cabernet Franc.  The history of this wonderful property dates back to 1895 when Jacques Mondon acquired several vineyards in the parish of Cissac-Medoc and combined them to form Chateau Cissac. In 1940 Jacques Grandson, Louis Vialard inherited the property and now it is in the capable hands of Louis' Granddaughter Marie, who together with Chief Wine Maker, Laurant Saint Pasteur, continue to take these award-winning wines from strength to strength.
