Petit Martin is from the Graves property of Chateau Saint Martin and is classified as a Bordeaux Superieur, produced from 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, this wine has a wonderful bouquet of red fruits and vanilla with hints of spice, in the mouth it has plenty of ripe red fruits with soft tannins and a roundness that comes from the soft aging in aok barrels.great to drink on its own or with a variety of meats or pasta.
This great value Bordeaux is made by the Chateau Clinet Wine Team who select the grapes from some of the Right Bank's best vineyards, the wine is then vinified and blended at Chateau Clinet's state of the art winery in Pomerol. Already found on the tables of some Frances best restuarants, this wine is rapidly becoming a favourite of 5 Star Hotels all over the World. Produced from 100% Merlot, this wine shows a brilliant ruby colour, on the nose, there is cherry, raspberry, and blackcurrants with notes of sweet pepper. In the mouth the wine reveals a sweet fruitiness, with flavors of raspberry, fresh cherry and redcurrants, complemented with fine spices and light to medium tannins. The finish is long and fruity.
Almost anonymous until the 1980's, Dominique Hebrard, at the time owner of Chateau Cheval Blanc and Hubert de Bouard, owner of Chateau Angelus were amongst the first of the big names to realize the great potential of the Cotes de Francs appellation. They purchased Chateau de Francs in 1986, where they have been producing outstanding wines ever since. The 40 hectares of vineyards are predominantly planted with the red grape varietals to the proportions of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc & 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are traditionally vinified with aging taking place in French oak barrels of which 10-15% are new.
Petite Laurence is the second wine of Château Laurence and is made from a selection of fruit from the gravelly clay soils of Montussan. The wine is fermented in stainless steel thermoregulated vats and aged for 14 months in a combination of vats and French oak barrels. Produced from 100% Merlot, this wine exhibits red cherries and spices on the nose, in the mouth the wine is medium bodied with plenty of ripe fruits and fresh acidity balanced by ripe silky tannins.
Located in the parish of Saint-Philippe d’Aiguilhe, on the highest point of the Bordeaux region. The vines are planted on the southern side of the clayey chalky continuation of the famous Saint Emilion plateau. Purchased by Mr Palatin in 1972, the property has been handed down to his daughter Nathalie and son-in-law Mr. Thomas Guibert who is also in charge of the Saint Emilion Classified Growth Chateau de Ferrand. The 12 Hectares are planted with 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5 % Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are matured for up to 12 months in French Oak Barrels.
Located 20 km south of Bordeaux, overlooking the Gironde River, this 20 hectare, 17th Century estate of Chateau Martin sits on the clay and limestone soils, peppered with the small gravel from which the Graves region gets its name.
The white Graves, is produced from 4 hectares of vines planted to a combination of 70% Semillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are picked at optimum ripeness and fermented in oak vats before being matured new oak barrels with regular stirring of the lees. A big round wine with great fruit and refreshing acidity. Perfect for seafood.
Domaine du Grand Ormeau, located on the border of Pomerol and Lalande Pomerol and has been in the Garde family for 3 generations, each of which has had a hand in the development and growth of the property. The property has 17.6 Hectares under vines planted to a proportion of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc & 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2009 Yanick Reyrel, former Assistant Wine Maker at Petrus was brought on board to move the wines to the next level, and the results are now really starting to show.
This 17th Century estate was purchased by the Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her two sons in 1998 and has since undergone extensive renovation. Located in the Saint Polycarp commune near the town of Limoux in the Aude Valley district of the Languedoc Roussillon, the estate has 118 hectares under vine and made up predominately with red varietals, Grenache, Syrah and Malbec from the Mediterranean and Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Atlantic. In 2003 the wine was awarded the status of AOC Limoux. 2008 saw the first vintage of the 2nd wine la Capitalle de Baron'arques and in 2009 the first vintage of Le Chardonnay de Baron'arques was produced from the 3 hectares of Chardonnay planted. All the wines at the estate are under the direct supervision of the Chateau Mouton Rothschild technical team and proudly take their place among the elite brands of Baron Philippe de Rothschild.
